News for July 2026

A large audience filled the room for the very successful presentation by four members of Uncovered and Discovered at the Penzance Literary Festival on July 8th. Of particular interest were the music manuscript books and other artefacts shown around during the section on West Gallery Music. The morning finished with the sale of books.

At the end of June a meeting held at a member’s house examined a selection of old books and maps to discuss Archives, What do we Keep? This was followed by tea in the garden on a glorious sunny day.

Members are looking forward to their next meeting in August and more details of the short listing of their latest book Beyond the Bookshelves for the Holyer an Gof Publishers’ Awards by the Gorsedh Kernow.
