News for June 2026

Four members practised their talks on 'Uncovered and Discovered' for the Penzance Litfest which will be in the Exchange on Wednesday 8th July at 11.00 a.m.

Carrie Baker talked about Catherine St Aubyn (1760-1836) and her beautiful drawings.

Linda Collins was intrigued by the musical instruments used in churches before organs were afforded.

Jenny Dearlove’s well researched talk was entitled ‘A Load of Old Baskets’.
Linda Camidge’s 'Twas on a Friday morning...' was a spirited account of the recently discovered market cross.

The photograph by Kevin Camidge shows, left to right, Carrie Baker, Linda Collins, Jenny

July 8th and are on this website under ‘Publications’.
