Another well attended meeting in The Morrab Library, Penzance, quickly dealt with a full agenda. This year three group members are giving a presentation at the Penzance LitFest. They will be talking about aspects of the group’s forthcoming book: insights into domestic crafts, a selection of exquisitely designed bookplates, and the career of librarian Olive Symons. The event will take place in the new Pixel building at the top of Causewayhead on Wednesday, July 2nd from 11 am to 12:30pm. The next day, Thursday, July 3rd from 11 am to 12.30 pm. member Linda Camidge will be at the Pixel building talking about her book Landmarks and Legends of Penzance
A few previous publications are still available and selling online at £10. They include the ever-popular Women of West Cornwall, edited by Pam Lomax. Among the topics covered in the ten chapters of the book are: artists’ model Annie Eliza Warren Webb, women in early modern wills from Zennor, and ‘Women in Business.’
