Another busy meeting was held in October in the The Morrab Library, Penzance. The treasurer gave a satisfactory report and the secretary was her usual efficient self. The website is being up-dated with details of all books which can now be purchased from The Morrab Library in the beautiful Morrab gardens. The library is closed on Sundays and Mondays but open the other five days of the week from ten to four.
Chapter 7 in Beyond The Bookshelves: Hidden Histories in The Morrab Library tells the story of Hilda Quick (1895-1978) a local artist. Some of her beautiful work has been selected by The Morrab Library and reproduced as cards and postcards which are for sale also at the library.
Plans were finalised for launching Beyond The Bookshelves: Hidden Histories in The Morrab Library later this month.
