The September meeting was held at a members’ house. Nineteen people met to celebrate Linda Collins becoming a member of the Cornish Gorsedh for promotion of Kernow through music. Five other bards were present and a photograph taken. Refreshments were served followed by a short business meeting.
Books sold well at the summer craft fairs including the newest one Beyond The Bookshelves: Hidden Histories in The Morrab Library. It is packed with descriptions of amazing documents all researched with meticulous care by members of the PLHG. In eleven chapters fascinating documents are examined from maps, to book plates to the intriguing Pig Book with its autographs of many famous people.
Plans for the autumn include a book launch and promoting sales. Beyond The Bookshelves: Hidden Histories in The Morrab Library is selling at The Morrab Library in Morrab Gardens and in local shops at the very reasonable price of £15.
